Arrived here from Leipzig – direct train took just over 3 hours – 6.51am!!!!-9.54am E41.25 with Bahncard

Rathaus from outside – tried to ask what time tours are but online info (10.30am), printed info (10.15am then hourly – German tours are every 30 minutes) and verbal info (11.15am then every 2 hours) all different! E4 per person and told last 30-40 minutes – can buy ticket from lobby immediately before each tourlooking into windows from outside looks beautiful – definitely on the list for next time – closest stop Jungfernsteig U1 or Rathaus U3 – can go into the lovely lobby from Mon-Fri 7am-7pm

Speicherstadt District – warehouse district – contracted from 1883 – more than 50% destroyed during WW2 – looks great at night too from photos

Maritimes Museum, Kaispeicher B, Koreastraße 1; Tues-Sun 10am – 6pm; 40,000 miniature models, ships made with gold, silver and amber, Queen Marym2 made of one million Lego pieces all inside Hamburg’s oldest maintained warehouse – 3000 years of maritime history with exhibits from all over the globe

Speicherstadtmuseum, Am Sandtorkai 36; daily 10am – 5pm – 1888 warehouse showing workings of a warehouse from that time – English information boards
